Company history

Husband and wife emigrated from China.

Mr. Mok Lim and Mrs. Li Earsri Chae Li were a poor married couple living in China. Due to their hardship, they decided to cross the sea to Thailand, hoping to use their knowledge and skills to make a living and provide a comfortable life for their family.

Came to live in Thailand.

Mr. Mok Lim and Mrs. Li Earsri Chae Li lived in a small shophouse in the Trok Klantan area. They used their knowledge of medicine to produce and trade herbal remedies. Some of the medicines they made were sold by the grandfather, while some were given away to the poor as a way to help those who had no money.

World War II

One day, a Japanese soldier came to see Grandma at her house to ask for help. The soldier said that he had been cheated out of his money and now didn’t have a single baht left. Seeing his situation, Grandma felt pity for him, so she gave him some of Grandpa’s clothes and a small amount of money, hoping it would help him survive and return safely.

Received the formula for “Li Buansua dispensary”.

Filled with gratitude and wanting to thank Grandma for helping him, the Japanese soldier, who had nothing with him, told her that he was a military doctor in a Japanese army camp. The only thing he had was his knowledge of Japanese medicine formulas, and he wanted to use that knowledge to repay Grandma for saving him. Since Grandma already had some knowledge of making medicine, she was able to learn and understand the formula that the soldier gave her very well. The medicine formula that the soldier passed on to Grandma was “Li Buansua dispensary.” The soldier also said, “This formula is very good. No Japanese soldier would ever go into battle without carrying this medicine.”

Trademark registration

A few years later, Grandpa and Grandma registered a trademark, which became known as the “Fishing Brand.” The meaning of the Fishing Brand is “a god sitting and fishing,” because fishing requires patience, calmness, and perseverance before the fish takes the bait — just like making medicine, which requires carefulness and meticulous attention in order to produce medicine of good quality.

Expand business

In 1977, the business was expanded and the factory was relocated to a new site on Rama II Road. The facility included both modern and traditional medicine production lines and was managed by Mr. Chai Theerakan, the fifth son of Mr. Mok Lim and Mrs. Li Earsri.

Expand factory

In 2004, the business began to improve and became more well-known, making it necessary to expand the factory and increase production capacity. The factory was therefore relocated to Ban Phaeo District, Samut Sakhon Province, on an area of 8 rai. There, new facilities were built, including a modern medicine factory, a traditional medicine factory, and a quality control laboratory. The company also received GMP certification from the FDA Thailand.

Current

The factory has been continuously expanded on the same site, with ongoing development through the introduction of new machinery and analytical equipment, as well as the addition of skilled personnel and expert pharmacists to help improve the quality of the products. The company also continues to develop further to achieve even better quality.
